Compared to the Electric Imp, the Spark Core is a relative newcomer. It launched via Kickstarter, picking up almost viral momentum early, due mostly to the use of the Texas Instruments CC3000 wireless stack. Just last week Spark announced an upgrade to the Core, called the Photon, which ditches the
